Equipment

  • 1 Air Fryer

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Chicken thigh
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tsp Sake
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • 1 tsp Grated garlic
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • 3/4 cup Potato starch
  • Neutral oil (spray oil is easier to use)

Optional garnish ingredients

  • Lemon wedge
  • Grated raddish
  • Kewpie mayo

Instructions

  • Cut chicken thigh in bite size pieces (about 2 inches)
  • Put chicken in a plastic bag or in a bowl
  • Add soy sauce, sake, grated ginger, grated garlic, and sugar
  • Mix well and marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight
  • Add in potato starch. Shake the bag to coat the chicken pieces well
  • Put chicken pieces in air fryer
  • Spray with neutral oil on both sides of the chicken
  • Air fry at 400F for 15 minutes. Flip half way through cooking
  • Chicken should be golden brown and cooked inside
  • Serve hot and enjoy!
